mortal shell 2 beta

Mortal Shell II had an Open Beta before the August 20, 2026 full release. Treat beta routes, balance, access rules, rewards, and item placement as historical unless they match the build you are playing now.

Beta and full release are separate

The Open Beta had its own Steam product identity. The full game released on August 20, 2026 and is marked Available Now, so the two should not be treated as one identical version.

An Open Beta can have different combat tuning, routes, enemy behavior, access conditions, rewards, and progression rules. A route that worked before release can be wrong after a balance change.

Using old beta routes

Use a beta route only as a rough orientation tool. Confirm the current dungeon entrance, Beacon state, key requirement, enemy placement, and item pickup before committing to a long detour.

Do not use beta damage, upgrade cost, drop rate, or boss-health claims as current planning values. Shell abilities and weapon effects can change between builds.

Access and progress

Historical beta access does not guarantee that the beta is still playable, that every region used the same schedule, or that beta progress carried into the full game. Plan current access around the full release on your platform.

A separate product identity also means that a beta install should not be assumed to share saves, achievements, or download rights with the full game.
