No confirmed character cap
Do not plan around level 50, level 99, or an unlimited cap as established facts. The displayed character level can continue independently from Shell and weapon progression.
A high number on one save does not prove that the next level is possible or useful. Check the next cost and resulting stat change on an unmodified current save.
Separate the progression tracks
Shell bonding unlocks memories and Shell Point tiers for an individual Shell. Weapon upgrades and Tarstones change equipment through their own menus and requirements.
Finishing a weapon or fully bonding one Shell therefore does not establish the character-level cap. Record the exact screen and currency before comparing progression numbers.
Gloom is not the answer by itself
Gloom pays for character progression, but a farming rate cannot prove a maximum. Night Mode, route choice, enemy balance, and patch changes can alter how quickly Gloom is earned.
Use repeatable current-game results when comparing routes. Avoid turning one unusually efficient run into a guaranteed Gloom-per-hour figure.
